On behalf of the Black Business Student Association at the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business, we would like to extend an invitation to attend the 37th Annual Alfred L. Edwards BBSA Conference, on February 15th- 16th, 2013.
The late Alfred L. Edwards said, "We must make sure that the doors that were open for us do not become closed for others." The 2013 conference theme "On the Shoulders of Giants: Leaving a Lasting and Impactful Legacy" underscores that each generation's successes are directly impacted by the successes and failures of those preceding us.

Through our panels and speakers, we will have meaningful dialogue between alumni, faculty, current students, and prospective students meant to strengthen the legacies created by the BBSA and within the greater business community. This dialogue will be driven through our panels, which include Binder Full of Women -Black Women in White Male Dominated Industries, Business and Politics, Entrepreneurs - the good, the bad and the ugly of creating and running your own business and Profitability and Corporate Social Responsibility. We will discuss the unique difficulties minorities face and how to drive the successes of others both as corporate leaders, mentors, and as entrepreneurs.

The ALE Conference attracts more than 200 attendees from around the country including current University of Michigan students, alumni, industry leaders, corporate recruiters, and prospective students. The conference aims to engage these stakeholders in discussions around issues and opportunities relevant to the current economic climate and global business environment.
